After bidding for a second term as President of the French Railway Industries Association (FIF) as from 1 December, Louis Nègre (65), Senator and Mayor (UMP Party) of Cagnes-sur-Mer, first Vice-President of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis, Co-President of the TDIE and Senate Rapporteur for the Grenelle Environment Summit, had this to say on winning re-election: "I pledge to continue the work started three years ago in close collaboration with the public authorities, and more particularly with the Industry Ministry, the Transport Ministry and all rail sector stakeholders, with a view to structuring the French rail industrial sector into a high-performance, innovative and joined-up entity".
